Watermelon Contests

Watermelon Relay Race

1. Must have a 2-person team 

2. Team must transport 10 watermelons from  the east side of the watemelon track to the west side. 

3. Both members can not be at the same end of the track at the same time.

4. +5 sec penalties will be added to actual finish time for every melon busted or fractured 

5. Team that moves the watermelons in the fastest time wins.

Saturday, June 25 at 10:30 AM

Seed Spitting Contest

Age Divisions:

Junior Division (Ages 12 & Under)

Senior Division (Ages 13 & Up)


1.  Must spit from behind the line.

2.  You can NOT provide your own seed.

3.  Spitting outside of the watermelon track will result in disqualification.

4.  Trophies to be awarded to 1st place winners in each time slot & division.


Thursday, June 23 at 6:30 PM

Friday, June 24 at 2:00 PM 

Saturday, June 25 at 11:AM & 2:PM

Watermelon Growers Contest

Grow watermelons bigger than anyone else? Then bring down your biggest and best for the grower's competition. 


Saturday, June 25

4:00 pm Outdoor Stage

No Registration Required.

Show up in front of the stage at contest time with your melon to be weighed!


Cornhole Tournament

Hosted By: Beauregard Baggers & VFW #3619 

Located at: 1115 Hwy 27; DeRidder, La 

$20 Per Person / $40 Per Team 

75% Payout • ACL Rules 

Doors Open at 5:00 PM 

Games Start at 7:00 PM

Junior Division (Ages 12 & Under)

1.  Both Hands behind back at all times.

2.  Must eat until no RED is showing.

3.  Must stay standing at all times.

4.  No help from outside sources.

5.  No touching the person beside you.

6.  No spitting seeds on fellow contestants.

7.  Any rules violated will result in disqualification. 

8.  Trophies to be awarded to 1st place winners in each time slot & division.
